Temple Free Will Baptist Church

Where The Son Is Always Shining !

At Temple Free Will Baptist our mission is to Exalt the Savior, Evangelize the lost, Equip the saints, Encourage one another, and Enjoy our walk with God. If you are new to the area, a new believer, or just looking for a church home we would love to have you worship with us.

We are a Christ Centered, Family Oriented Church, that enjoys Old-Fashioned Worship. Although we are a church of modest size (around 150), we have a heart for ministry along with an earnest desire to make a difference for the cause of Christ in our community.

Pastor Jeff Shaver has been in the ministry for over 20 years now. Since surrendering to the call of God, he has preached all over our great country and seen many lives changed through the power of God’s Word. His testimony of being “a sinner saved by grace,” is perhaps one of the biggest reasons that God has chosen to use this church to reach people from all walks of life.

As the pastor of Temple Free Will Baptist Church, Pastor Jeff has a unique connection with people, both in and out of the pulpit. His dynamic preaching and evangelistic approach to every sermon makes the preaching at Temple very effective. From the moment Temple Free Will Baptist Church started until now, God has used our Church and Pastor Jeff to reach countless lives for the Glory of God.

Great Time Playing Kickball

Young and old alike enjoyed a rowdy game of kickball Wednesday evening as the Temple Free Will Baptist Youth Group enjoyed snow cones and playing tricks on the older players (like moving the bases!). It was a great time of fun and fellowship. Here’s a post by brother Phil Pennington, one of our Youth Leaders:

“Tonight was a lot of fun. Thanks to all the youth and youth at heart for participating in our giant game of kick ball. The score was a run away with a final of 24 to 5. We had a great devotion by Pastor Jeff where he asked everyone to remove their left shoe and examine the bottom of it. Then he asked everyone to lick the bottom of their shoe. One of the kids actually did it. LOL Thanks for all the laughs and great time had by all.”

We truly enjoy the opportunity to honor our Dads at Temple. Please join us as we celebrate the fathers among us with a special celebration and a gift fro every Dad. We’ll have Sunday School at 10:00 and then Morning Worship with special recognition of our Dads starting at 11:00.
